Our Trunk or Treat was a huge success — praise God! We were blown away by the turnout, welcoming around 300 people total — including our incredible volunteers — for an evening filled with joy, laughter, and connection.
Thanks to the generosity of our church family, we were able to hand out over 23 large (5-gallon!) buckets of candy — and the smiles on the kids’ faces said it all! From creative trunks and fun carnival-style games and prizes to popcorn, bounce houses, music, pie the Pastor, and food trucks, the night was truly alive with excitement.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers and trunk decorators — you went above and beyond to bless our community. Your creativity, energy, and servant hearts made this event welcoming, safe, and joy-filled for every guest who walked through our gates.
And to all the families and guests who joined us — thank you for spending the evening with us! We loved meeting our neighbors and can’t wait to see you again.
We’re already dreaming and planning for next year’s Trunk or Treat — even bigger and better!
If you would like to be a part of the planning team for next year, please let Katie LaCoste know — we’d love to have you involved!
October 8th, 2025, our Rise Jr. Youth Group enjoyed a special drop-in event at Elevate Trampoline Park, and what a blast it was! The kids spent two hours bouncing, climbing, and laughing together, then gathered for some well-deserved pizza. 🍕
But the fun didn’t stop there! After jumping, the group headed over to the Zabel home for an unforgettable surprise—meeting the one and only Rambo the Tortoise! 🐢 The kids loved spending time with this famous reptile, and it was the perfect way to wrap up a day filled with energy, joy, and fellowship.
Events like this remind us that growing in faith also means building friendships, sharing experiences, and creating memories together. Thank you to all who made this special outing possible!
We had the joy of blessing six quilts, three afghans, and two special baptism quilts during worship. Each stitch represents the love and prayers of our dedicated Quilters Group, who pour their time and talents into creating these gifts of comfort and care.
On Tuesday, October 7th, the six quilts and three afghans were delivered to Banner Ironwood Hospital and received by Chaplain Adrienne Scales. These beautiful handmade pieces will now bless patients and families in need of warmth, encouragement, and a tangible reminder of God’s love.
We are grateful for the faithful work of our quilters and the impact their ministry continues to have both within our congregation and out in the community. Truly, these quilts are more than fabric—they are expressions of Christ’s love, stitched together with prayer.
We had the joy of dedicating our volunteers during worship, and what a blessing it was to pause and recognize the many hands and hearts that make ministry at Christ the Victor possible.
From those who serve in worship, children’s ministry, and fellowship, to those who faithfully keep our food pantry stocked and running—you are the heartbeat of our church. We are especially grateful for the volunteers who faithfully served all summer long, often taking on extra responsibilities and double duty while we were short-handed. Your dedication in the heat of summer is a true testimony of servant hearts in action.
We simply could not do ministry without you. Thank you for showing up, for pouring your time and energy into this church, and for sharing Christ’s love with our community. We praise God for each of you!
This past Sunday, our church family had the joy of celebrating a very special milestone—Landen’s Confirmation during our 9:30 AM contemporary worship service.
Confirmation is such an important step in the life of a young believer. It’s a time to publicly confess faith in Jesus Christ, affirm the promises made at baptism, and step forward as a full communicant member of the congregation. For Landen, this moment marked the culmination of two years of faithful learning, prayer, and preparation.
Surrounded by his family, friends, and church community, Landen boldly confessed his faith and took his stand for Christ. It was a beautiful service filled with worship, reflection, and celebration—reminding each of us of our own confirmation vows and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Following the service, we gathered for a reception with cake to honor Landen’s commitment. The joy, encouragement, and words of blessing shared were a wonderful testimony of the love and support of our church family.
We are so proud of Landen and give thanks to God for raising up the next generation of believers within our congregation. Please continue to lift him up in prayer as he grows in his walk with Christ and lives out his faith daily.
Congratulations, Landen—we celebrate you and the faith you’ve confirmed in Christ Jesus!
What an amazing weekend we had up on the Mogollon Rim! Our Annual Labor Day Camping Trip brought together 15 people and 3 dogs for a time filled with laughter, fellowship, and unforgettable memories.
Each evening we gathered for incredible meals—pulled pork, tri tip, brisket, carne and pollo asada, and steaks. Mornings were just as delicious with pancake breakfasts and hearty breakfast burritos. We prayed together, shared stories, and ended each night around the campfire with s’mores and laughter.
Days were full of adventure—hiking for geodes, off-roading in the side-by-sides (including one extra-long ride to the lake where we all got very dirty—literally covered in dirt from head to toe!), and playing cards. We even stopped by a local rummage sale and scored some fun new trinkets. And with perfect weather the whole weekend, every moment was a gift.
This trip was more than just camping—it was a time to grow closer as a church family, building new relationships and strengthening bonds. A few campers even left with new nicknames that are sure to stick! And while we learned so much about one another, we all agreed: what happens at camp, stays at camp!
If you missed out this year, be sure to join us next time—you won’t want to miss the fun, the fellowship, and the memories waiting to be made!
