YHWH test His new nation as they leave Mt. Sinai and head towards the promise land. Will they trust Him in the small things? Because big things are coming! The short answer is “no!” But a new generation will get a second chance. Will they act any differently? Moses sets their choices before them, “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live!” (Deuteronomy 30:19-20)
