We’re getting close—our annual Labor Day camping trip is almost here!

Pack your gear and join us for a fun and relaxing weekend at the beautiful Mogollon Rim. This free weekend getaway is open to everyone—CTV members, friends, and friends of friends!

John and Lori Stenerson will head up on Tuesday to secure a camping area large enough for our group. Most campers plan to stay Thursday through Monday, but you are welcome to come whenever you can. You don’t have to stay for the entire weekend—you can even drive up for the day and join us! It’s a gorgeous drive and a wonderful escape from this crazy Arizona heat.

When:
Labor Day Weekend
Thursday, September 3–Monday, September 7, 2026

Where:
Contact John Stenerson (218) 329-6959, They will arrive on Tuesday and can give more exact location details once they have the spot saved.  It should be up on the Mogollon Rim, near where we stayed last year.

Free potable water fill-ups and paid dumping are available at Canyon Point Campground, located less than a mile east of Forest Road 237 on Highway 260. If you reach Forest Lakes or pass the Forest Lakes General Store on your right, you’ve gone too far east and should turn around.

Camping:
Whether you camp in a tent, RV, trailer, or anything in between, you are welcome to join us!

Don’t have an RV or trailer? Let Katie know in the church office. There is a fairly affordable RV and trailer rental company in the area that several people have had great experiences with.

Please remember that this is dry camping with no hookups, so bring everything you will need for your stay.

Group Dinners:
We’ll share a group dinner each evening from Thursday through Sunday:

  • Thursday: Spaghetti — Stenerson Family
  • Friday: Walking Tacos — Chase Family
  • Saturday: Enchiladas — LaCoste Family
  • Sunday: Sloppy Joes — Stenerson Family

We would love for everyone to bring a side dish to share with the group each night. It doesn’t need to be complicated, fancy, or homemade! Salads, beans, rice, chips, store-bought cookies, cake, brownies, or any other easy addition would be perfect.

Everyone will be responsible for their own breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and drinks throughout the weekend.

Bring Your Off-Road Toys:
Don’t forget to bring your off-road toys! Last year, we took a group ride to some absolutely breathtaking views along the Rim, and we’re hoping for even more adventures this year.

Fellowship:
One of the best parts of weekends like this is the fellowship. Sitting around the campfire, sharing meals, laughing together, and simply spending unhurried time with one another is where many of our relationships with our church family truly grow deeper. Some of the best memories at CTV have been made around these campfires!

And remember…what happens at the campground stays at the campground! The only way to truly know about all the fun, laughter, stories, and unforgettable moments is to come join us!

Please RSVP:
To help the families preparing the main dishes know how much food to bring, please let us know how many people will be coming with you, which days you plan to attend, and which evenings you’ll be joining us for dinner:
