What a powerful and meaningful Holy Week we experienced together at Christ the Victor.

From the quiet reflection of Maundy Thursday to the solemn depth of Good Friday, and finally the overwhelming joy of Easter Sunday, each service reminded us of the incredible love, sacrifice, and victory we have in Jesus Christ.

On Maundy Thursday, we gathered to remember the Last Supper and Jesus’ call to serve and love one another. A special and heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the Maundy Thursday skit—what a meaningful way to bring the story to life. We are especially grateful to Loretta Shannon for taking that on, along with Steve Sommers, Gordon Leaman, Nathan Robinette, John Angove, Darlene Rooney, Rod Zabel, and Terry Mays for assisting with lighting. Your time, effort, and willingness to serve made a lasting impact.

Good Friday led us into a time of deep reflection as we remembered the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. We are so thankful for those who helped lead us through this powerful service, including Loretta Shannon, Kayla Piel, Steve Sommers, Sid Fitch, Gordon Leaman, Mark Skinner, and our choir members Danielle, Shelly, and Sue, whose voices and readings brought the story to life in a moving and unforgettable way.

Then came Sunday… and what a celebration it was!

From our beautiful sunrise service with views of the Superstition Mountains, to our 8:00am Traditional and 9:30am Contemporary services, the message rang loud and clear: He is risen! The joy in the room was undeniable as we celebrated the resurrection and the hope we have because of it.

A HUGE thank you to our Fellowship Team and the Monday Men’s Bible Study for their incredible work on the griddle—what an amazing Easter breakfast! Your servant hearts and hard work helped create such a warm and welcoming time of fellowship for everyone.

It truly takes the whole body of Christ working together to create such a meaningful week, and we are so grateful for each and every person who served, participated, and attended.

As you scroll through the photos, we hope you’re reminded of the beauty of worship, the power of community, and the hope we share in Jesus.

Christ is risen… He is risen indeed!
