What a wonderful evening of fellowship and thanksgiving! On Thanksgiving Eve, 88 of us gathered together to share delicious pie, ice cream, and warm conversation. It was such a joy to pause, connect, and celebrate God’s goodness as a church family before the holiday—followed by an amazing Thanksgiving Eve sermon.
And the desserts… wow! We were truly blessed with an incredible variety of pies—Reese’s, Mounds, Apple, Pumpkin, Pecan, Coconut Cream, and more. We even enjoyed homemade vanilla ice cream, which was a huge hit!
After enjoying pie and ice cream together, we gathered around God’s Word with the message “Don’t Forget the Lord Your God” from Deuteronomy 8:1–18. Moses urged God’s people to remember the Lord in every season—especially in times of comfort and abundance. As Israel prepared to enter the Promised Land, they faced the subtle danger of forgetting the God who had sustained them in the wilderness and provided for their every need.
This Thanksgiving, we heard that same call: “Take care lest you forget the Lord.” All our blessings—past, present, and future—come from His gracious hand. True thanksgiving is an act of worship, turning our hearts back to the God who provides, redeems, and gives us life in Christ.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and to those who baked, brought treats, or helped serve. Your generosity and presence made the evening truly special. We are grateful for each one of you!
