Many people believe that belief in ‘god’ in general is just as good as belief in Jesus Christ. There exists today the idea that as long as you are part of a belief system, and you sincerely participate in that system, ‘god,’ whoever he may be, will save you. These ideas are called syncretism and universalism, and the Lord of the Church wants them cast out! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
